I am reposting this song since I was able to add audio...I could only include a clip of what the tune/melody is supposed to sound like since it's a rather long song. I play the ukulele and sing but not very well lol... forgive any mistakes please.;) <3 This was written in honor of my Maternal grandparents.

I've been searching this long, lonesome time
To find the One who will forever be mine
Even though we haven't met
My heart is steady and my mind is set 
To our future love, I'll stay true
Yess, I will wait for you. 

Chorus:*
I'll be faithful, I'll be true
You're the only one for me and
I'm yours too
Even though my heart aches 
And I want you every single day
I will wait for you

Vs2.
When you left to serve the country we both love 
I cried and prayed for a sign from above
To tell me you would make it home
Or on foreign soil, die alone
But no signs say you'll make it through
But I'll pray everyday that you do...
And I will wait for you.

She has always been there for me
She's been the glue to our family
All these years she's waited so patiently
Although I tried to stay, I had to go
God called me to my home
Like Him, she gave me a love I didn't earn
So now, darlin', it's my turn...

Crystol, congrats on your placement in my contest. Really like the addition of the vocals and your piece set to music. It adds to depth and feeling. I like the last line of the chorus.

It is lovely to be reading this updated poem again, Crystol. The melody is good, though it can always be fine-tuned to smooth any rough edges. I wouldn't dare sing to my poems lol...I'd scare all my followers away :) Keep up the good work. Regards // paul

Oh thank you for taking time to listen! I am definitely not a performer and I'm barely able to say I play the ukulele lol... self taught. But I love to do this and that's all that matters. If you love to sing, don't let anything stop you! Ty again! Xo
