I Will Paint You

You are everything blue and beautiful to me
you are the only one white and wonderful to see
you are the black box that knows all about me
you often go red yet you’re more righteous than me
you give me pink slips whenever I’m in the sinful sea
you do not go brown nor sting me like the bee
you give me yellow cards and pay my fiery fee
you are the indigo strand in every rainbow that I see
you are everything blue and beautiful to me
you are evergreen and forever shall be.
I’ll paint you Lord in every color I see
