I will not read those things which bring me pain
the words that chase the sun and bring the rain
I will not read the words that steal delight
That lead me down from day to darkest night

I will not read the words that are not true
That rob me of my faith and make me blue
I will not read the words dressed in disguise
that bring unbidden tears to soulful eyes

I will not read the words that seem to be
An altered state of my reality
I will not read the words that bring me down
that chase away my smile and bring a frown

I'll read and taste and savor words of love
And soar on wings of words to heights above

Jade

:) Thank you, Richard. I'm making a conscious choice to read only that which is uplifting. Sometimes keeping peace, even at the expense of one's own pride and dignity, means staying away and not reciprocating in kind. I've found that when I do reciprocate in kind, the situation just gets worse. Thanks for visiting. You have often been the wind beneath my wings with your kind and thoughtful comments. Bless you.

Thanks, Ralph. There is enough pain in life without going looking out for more. I will not read the writes of people who have been hurtful to me anymore. :) That puts me out of harm's way. Thank you for the visit.

"I'll read and taste and savor words of love And soar on wings of words to heights above". My gentle gifted friend you soar with every word you pen of love and life. While i needs must plum the depths of "darkest night" to understand why we are as we are. “Man is neither angel nor brute, and the unfortunate thing is that he who would act the angel acts the brute.” ? Blaise Pascal WHY is this so? It is a fudamental question that i need an answer to to find peace of soul. love Shane xxx

My gentle passionte friend, i do not believe that anything is beyond redemption, I do believe that hurt is a natural consequence of living and is unfortunatley an essential part of life. And much to my dimay at my apparent lack of rationality and extreme naivety that love can ultimately conquer all. It is a simplistic idolized view of life, but it is where my heart puts me. I think there in each of us there is the capacity to inflict pain...to act brutish. We are...after all...humans. When we realize this, it becomes easier to understand the level of hate and evil that exists in some hearts. Sad thing is, there is nothing to be done when the mind I so inclined. I can be spiteful if spited. So...it's hard to know when the be the better person. Thank you, my dear, for your lovely visit. I hope you find your answers. Hugs :)

Yes, my dear Sunshine. Thank you for your visit and smiles. I've tried to give as good as I get...It makes things worse. Best is to cut off ties and forget painful words. Only then can healing start. Hugs to you

:) Charmaine...life is too short for regrets. Some lessons we learn the hard way though we should know better. Many factors come into play of why that happens. Thanks for being there for me. I do love you. Hugs

:) Thanks, Njeri. I feel much better after taking this decision. I don't have to read what brings me pain. I already have my share of that. Thank you for your lovely visit. Hugs
