I Went Home
I went home
The heart was there
I saw it coming
I saw it stare
I bowed before it
I entered humble
and took my time
feeling mumble
How could it be?
How could it last?
Was it the past?
Was it too fast?
Where was the people?
Where they are now?
Where had they gone to?
Who was I now?
Could I fit in?
Could I be home?
Could I find comfort
home was a clone?
Where was the effort?
Where was the goal?
How had things changed?
Where was the know-all
Would there be friends?
Would I fit in?
How had they changed?
Would they be prinn?
Settled at last
Now for some hope
Love for tomorrow
Love on I hope
Still I see comfort
Still I see here
Thanks to what entry
I came past my fear
So hold to tomorrow
for home is right here
And hearts say I'm known
just by what I am dear
