I Was There

I was there to watch us fall
I was there to watch us drown

You know that I’m sorry
Because it hurts, I’m letting you go
I’ll forget you, I’ll erase you

Take my heart as you’re leaving
I don’t need it anymore

Did you ever really want this?
I thought I could live in your arms forever
My jealous heart just couldn’t take it

I swear that you don’t have to go
But I couldn’t stop you even if I tried

What was all of it for?
Why did I mess up?
When will I be okay again?

Love truly is a painful endeavor. You'll be okay again if you just believe you will be. Beautiful tragic poem.

Thank you. I know that it’s gonna get much worse before it gets better though...
