I Was There

I Was There

Looking back upon my life's journey,
And the places that I've been and seen,
Pictures and faces, all life has to offer,

As I try to remember where and when,
I have Faded memories within my mine,
Names I have forgotten but faces I remember,
Each and every one is a wonderful memory,

Looking back upon my life's journey,
I find myself look into my life's journey,
At all the wonderful things I've learned,

As I would like to have it last,
Because I was there,

Looking back on what I have seen,
I have a lot more life to live,
Many times in my life I've felt overwhelmed,

And I do not let it get me down,
Nor to cause me too much sadness,
As there's no doubt as to who I am,
I will always have tomorrow,

As I would like to have it last,
Because I was there.
