I Was Going To Write You a Poem

I was going to write you a poem but my cat lay in the road. I scraped up his remains with a shovel paced them in a plastic bag, dropped it into a dumpster. I was going to write you a poem but in my fridge is a half can of cat food, with a cellophane lid, useless and taking up space.
