Notes About The Poem

I Was Born In a Winter Storm

I began as a mother's dream, who gave birth to me with a scream; outside there was a howling wind, and snow and me have always twined. All the seventies were my days, my growing years and childhood phase; a thinker- and to books inclined, and snow and me have always twined. I was born in a winter storm, loving walks while others stay warm; in snow there is beauty to find, and snow and me have always twined. I began writing on pages, words getting better in stages; my child words at first not refined, and snow and me have always twined. I was a dreamer- deep thinker, and a poetry book drinker; a writer born, lost in my mind, and snow and me have always twined. ____________________________ February 21, 2018 Poetry/Kyrielle/I Was Born In A Winter Storm Copyright Protected, ID 9962-45-01 All Rights Reserved.
