Harry, this is a stark portrayal of the fallen souls found experiencing such misery. I am walking through some of your pages today.

I was actually thinking of Mike before I read your dedication. I like the alphabetical alliteration, not to mention your command of vocabulary. Very nice write HG. - Yoni

Hello HGarvey, thank you for your comment on Her Lover. In answer to your question I am a gardener, but in my back pocket is a small note book and a pen. I write all the time, and my lunch breaks are spent in a cafe, where they have become used to me ordering a coffee, not drinking it, writing instead and then dashing off after swallowing my cold coffee..... I've never been addicted, but have known it in others and seen the results and struggles, this poem captured them very well happy new year

HGarvey - What a wonderful tribute - The roller coaster ride that was my life is very well depicted in this poem - I also take a lot of pride and thank you for recognizing my achievement in the end - I do thank God every single day - I have lived one day at a time in my recovery but they add up and I'm at 5 years the 28th of next month - May the new year bless you dearly my friend - MJ

The emotional roller coaster that consumes a user can sometimes destroy everyone around them. Addiction can happen to anyone...this is where love of family, and friends that really care, comes into play...God's love above all is the answer...I pray for everyone that has a need for drugs to realize what they are doing to themself, and everyone around them that cares what happens to them....always, Christy
