I Want To Be Me
You want me to be an artist,
like Da Vinci;
You want me to be a moon walker,
like Michael Jackson;
You want me to be fearless
like Alexander the Great;
You want me to be musical
like Bach.....
You have never asked me to be me;
thinking and doing things as I desire.
You have never wanted to read
my poems, even a single stanza.....
It was hard and impossible for you
to become what your parents wanted
you to be.
Therefore, let me be more like me,
and be less like you,
living my life like ''me".
