I Want To Be Loved

I want to be loved
whether male or female
hard or sweet tale
love isn't always singing
blue birds
but more like a gangsta
hustling on the streets tale

I want to be loved
more than kissed
I want to be hugged
I want reassurance that
I am not alone
I'm not in it to simply bone
I want to be consoled
when my soul will no longer float
I want someone who can
erase the mask and seep into
my realness like soap

I believe there is somebody
out there that I can take along
on this journey like a tote
I still have hope
of someday being loved
hard or sweet
slow or fast
I crave something
that will last.
