I Want Some Help

I hear their whispers
But they don't care.
They talk about me
Like I'm not there.

I see their glances
I lower my eyes.
I ignore their stares
And just despise.

They don't know me.
They shouldn't judge.
I don't know them.
I shouldn't hold a grudge.

If they knew me
They'd understand.
I want some help.
I need a hand.

I hurt inside
But they don't know.
I pretend I'm happy.
The pain doesn't show.

But all I want
Is a friend.
They come up to me
I shy from them.

And all I want
Is some help.
But I'll never get it.
By myself.
