I Wander the Desert Alone-Desertion In Barren Fields

Barren fields of mind-expanding,
within eyes dusty…
Forever dreaming oasis,
with winds howling cold.

Ringing sounds of silence,
tiresome travelling step by step…
Deceiving thirst occupied by illusions,
of fermenting thoughts standing still.

Demanding deserts daunting,
within daylight defiant…
Barren fields amidst broken hearts,
of lost souls sacrificed.

Silhouettes of sands blowing,
forgotten images thru endless time…
Storms of sorrow-drowning,
amongst whirlpools wandering.

...this is what I call a '360 backward reversible'...can be read backwards and in reverse.

I enjoy the atmosphere of this piece, and your words are very nicely weighted. A very fine poem.

Such illusions will leave a heart lost, lingering- as silence silently slips in. Emptiness will hibernate. Being alone, such a painful feeling indeed. You have captured this emotion so well. I wrote a poem about this, called "Steal the Sunshine" May have to post it one day. Keep following those Stars WW. Love & Light :) Brandy

You are very welcome my sweet friend. And you are a Warrior with Wings. :) My comments standing alone, as a poetic moment? I think that is possible, as my thoughts do have wings. Me?? Stealing your light. Lol.. It's more like I am Sharing the Sunshine with you. Either way. Keep shining. ~ Brandy
