I Walked In Reverse
The dust hovering just above their souls
A journey lay dormant awaiting to recoil
Through their dead skin these footprints dwell
Is my rhythm a curse from some ancient spell?
I lived as a blind bat in pockets of dark air
Between sunrise and sunset, in a vacuum of fear
The arrow piercing the tremors of unspoken words
The bow arching beyond the unimagined world
Ever propelled forward...I walked in reverse
And that step started a whole new verse
It turned the known universe on its head
Projected the awakening mind millennia ahead
My deeds have since moved the entire earth
And my feet are also running out of breath
As the dust threatens to return and unsettle
The moonlight illuminates the looming battle
