I, Too, Am Australia
I, too, am Australia!
Millennia after millennia, I have risen
And I have fallen.
Despite the odds my spirit strengthens.
Within my being, I am wild and free,
Though often man and element has
Tried to conquer me.
But fail ye shall, for I am one with spirit
And my own destiny.
My body too belongs to this land,
As does this land belong to me.
I shall never venture far from myself,
For I am a part of every other land,
Deep down.
And apart of every other being, alive
Or deceased.
As my great, great ancestry, speaks
Fire, water, rock and tree.
Speaketh the birds and beasts in harmony.
For I too, have this voice in me.
As this land ponders under our skies,
Its thoughts transferred, so it never dies.
It shall only become, a part of the One,
The One and the All. Listen now,
For it speaks to thee, too.
