I Throw Things When I Am Angry

I throw things when I am angry
yes...
across the room, against the wall,
SMASH, on the floor it falls

When anger builds,
when it fills every glowing cell
when my flesh is hot and tingles
I throw things

When I am angry, frazzled, aghast
I pick up the closest thing at hand
I grab it, grasp it tightly
and it flies, then BAM!

Smashing against a hard
unyielding surface
it shatters...
Dispersing shards of my anger

My anger quickly fades
like golden embers of a sparkler's flame
each sizzling ember quickly flees,
and once again I can deeply breathe
