I Think OF YOU Ticking grand-father and grand-mother clocks Are we facing each other in gilded frames of the Timeless, ticking with ages movements slowly down, Yet resetting each other with the golden keys of Loves unyielding devotion. Swinging pendulums swaying back and forth, Through heart sick emotions tender years, The raising of the minute hands slipping ideally By us, our easy chairs, turn into the rock of ages. I think of you with every finite grain of sand, That trickles within the shimmering hour glass Of the infinite. Transcending spiritual beings of twin souls united, Drawn together within passions spiral flame of Youth, discovery this world of wonder between Silken sheets of lost innocence, then emerging As loves sacred doves to soar amongst the clouds. I think of you with every finite grain of sand, That trickles within the shimmering hour glass Of the infinite. Pages ever turn, within the photo album of our Lives, black and white, unto color images, now Digital picks, but know wrinkles charm can touch Neither your ageless face, nor the sparkle left in your eyes, As you look upon me through these shinning frozen Moments of remembrance. I think of you with every finite grain of sand, That trickles within the shimmering hour glass Of the infinite. In the tears of our golden years, we’ve shed an Ocean together. Sailed within the sheltering harbor Of vows promise, two sails bending yielding unto The seas of destiny, you the captain steering the Course, and I the first mate calming the rough Waters of life. Landing on the same beach, willing hands intertwined, Leaving one set of footprints on the shore, for we Carried one another every step of the way, did These united spirits so travel. I think of you with every finite grain of sand, That trickles within the shimmering hour glass Of the infinite. Ticking grand-father and grand-mother clocks Are we facing each other in gilded frames of the Timeless, ticking with ages movements slowly down, Yet resetting each other with the golden keys of Loves unyielding devotion.

You left me breathless with this excellent poem, Cherl! Those repetitive lines are expressive and have the desired effect. If this is for the contest, then I can safely predict a super win. // paul
