I Tell the Truth

I do not play games
I tell the truth
It might hurt at first
But in the long run it hurts less than anything else

Some say I am abrupt
Others use other words to describe me
Honest? Not really. Trustworthy? Maybe a few
One thing I think they agree on. I try to always be fair.

That matters more to me than my delivery.
When you come out of a dressing room looking like a duck
Do not ask my opinion unless you really truly want it.
I will not make up things or exaggerate, but I will not tell lies either
Unless you are having a really bad day and you come out of the
dressing room looking like a duck from the back.
No.
Not even then.
You’re welcome.

Honesty and fairness...who could ask for more in a friend?

Oh, Caren, you are a woman who shares my heart's thoughts by being proud of your age. Hat off to ya!

I do try. Maybe since my friends know this I have had some for longer than sixty years.
