I Talk To Strangers

I talk to strangers
Tell the Owl
“it wasn’t me”
Apologize to the trees
For I cannot delete
Old messages
Quietly applaud
The antics of the squirrels
Gasp at the majesty
Of a weightless Hawk
Whisper my secrets
To the passing clouds
Quietly pass the blue Heron’s
“table for one”
Chuckle at the antics
Of the fireflies
I also listen
To the “silent”
Voices of nature
Humming together
Their song of praise

Nice one - nature sure puts on quite a show, and provides a nice place for us, though we're not the best at taking care of it, I suppose.
