I Take My Place

I Take My Place I store within my memory, The language as it used to be, Before "veggies" and LOL and BFF's I keep antique words in my heart. Supposedly "wise" is the operative word; Age should be seen and not heard. So Let the young make their choices As we once did, and now, We store a smile as they slip and skid, To finally know and go. Their own sweet and beautiful way.

Hi Sunlite, I can't agree with you more as I can very much identify with this very witty piece! My younger son is always "testing" me to see if I know what these and other new terms and abbreviations mean because they are not a part of my vocabulary (LOL)! A-7 for sure! Best regards. Pandita

It's funny how certain words and sayings come and go in and out of style and the use of "older" sayings defines your age to the group. This was really "groovy" Sunlite. :)

I don't know where my reply went! Thanks for yours. Some folks say "cool," some are "neat," and some like me even say "swell." Not really!
