I Surrender To Your Love

Shadowed by a love that seeks not fear, for true love is engrained in our souls- I shall leave his loyal side never. Long roads leading us to heaven’s gates- Tangerine eventides call our names as we tarry toward forever. The clarity of soft summer rain pouring with love as star dust shimmers- touching my heart with your sapphire smile. And I still love you in deep silence- honeysuckle eyes gleam in Autumn as we fade into sunsets in style. Entrancing songs pulsating with hope resound in melodies of true love- anticipating your touch, tender. Mesmerized and motionless I fall into arms that warm my heart and soul- into your embrace…I surrender. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 9 syllables in each line howmanysyllables.com Date: July 27, 2019 Contest: Tri-Con Poetry Contest Sponsor: Emile Pinet

Lu Loo, I have to agree with what Caren said. I wanted to add one small notion. Your poems remind me of what Jack Nicholson said to Helen Hunt in "As Good as It Gets". You make me want to be a better man. -Richard

The romance and the beautiful lines grabbed me immediately. Nicely done.
