I Still Want You

I know I deserve better
But somehow, I still want you
I want the guy who’ll be the best for me
But I want him to be you

I wish that somehow, you could see—
No, feel—the pain I feel
So that when you knew that I was hurting
You’d want to make me heal

And you think that you’re accomplished
For not abusing me
Physically, I’m never hurt
But you give me bruises no one sees

I don’t need you to love me
Just like me a little bit
And when I need you near me
Beside me, wont you sit?

When I cry, dry my eyes
Hear me when I call for you
Bring me all the happy colors
When all I feel is blue

Kiss me just because you want to,
Hold my hand real tight,
Be there to lie next to me
In the cold and lonesome nights

You’d change if you knew my half of our story
You’d change if you only knew…
I know I deserve better
But somehow, I still want you
