I Still Look On

In back of the crowd looking on
dreaming of being out in front
no longer lingering in shadows
of one like you

Eyes fixated on pirouettes
every step in perfection
lace floating through air
letting out you

Flights fought in fright
feet trapped in cobwebbed lies
wishing to be like that
where one can fly

Courage dipped in spiked punch
enough to disappear
lost in pristine palace halls
midnight echoes call

Running past doubts
that trickle tirelessly
freedom never lasting
never catching
not ever reaching for you

In back of a crowded room
I still look on

At times its from the back of a crowd that one can see all the view Tim....Maybe that is why I dont like to be at the front...At the front every error ..move will be noticed.I dont think I am able to live up to that perfection...The only time I like to be at the front..is in the eyes of my daughter..The one who has nothing but innocent love..I can feel sadness in this poem..and longing...It touches the heart.

I recall feeling like this while sitting in back of the classroom and going unnoticed. At times I still feel like that today... I hope you find the courage to step out in front of the crowd. Good things can happen when you do... This poem was written beautifully, Tim!

Tim, I like the courage dipping in. However, why are you in the back? Still looking on... enjoyed. SKME :)

My dream is to be on stage, dancing, which is impossible, for ever impossible. It's that shadow I am hunting and trying to forget the same time. It doesn't matter (to me) what you are trying to tell me, because THIS is what I see and read. Thank you. Darren.

Sounds like a shy insecure boy at a dance, to me. Although I know it can't be that simple, knowing you.
