I Stand Here Waiting
You should find no fault with me
As I stand here stoic and strong...
Like an aged oak tree.
Spreading my fruits,
Of wisdom and knowledge
On my wizened summer leaves,
Watching as they blow here and there
On these these autumnal winds.
Seeing them spread throughout the land...
Infusing the minds of others
And touching the hearts of men.
I stand here waiting...waiting...waiting...
for the axe to fall.
