I Stand Here

I stand here at the center of the world embraced by a sweet joy that makes me feel so good! I'm melting ice cream that's been swirled with luscious butterscotch. I want to reel from giddiness. I cannot merely stand. I need to move. I want to leap and dance. There is no other feeling quite so grand! I'm thinking of long kisses and romance while feeling loopy! It's as if a wave of happiness has risen from the sea. It's oceanic, and its willing slave I want to be as it rolls over me. Here where I'm standing in the middle of HIS world, I am engulfed by his warm love. 10/14/2018 For the "I Stand Here" Contest of Craig Cornish

Enormously satisfying, the wave you ride cannot help but crash with delight upon the world of this man you love. And your love just like the sea, is witness to the fact that there is no end of crashing waves.

I'm guess most went to sorrow, challenge or despair with this theme, but you are right - one can feel the intoxication of 'good' as described by you. I found it contagious. So glad you placed, sweetie - very glad. Love ... CayCay

I like how in the end he could be God or that dreamy love interest. And also, I loved how you were enveloped in the joy of an appreciation of just feeling that joy.
