I Stand Alone

I Stand Alone

As tempers flare, passion runs out of check,
And friendship threatens to come to a close.
They can sometimes be a pain in the neck,
And how their mind works no one really knows.

Emotions come flooding in like a hoard,
And the score is settled without delay.
The problem is that the blade of a sword,
Can be as hurtful as the words we say.

Since pride and ego always run the mind,
And thoughts are blinded by the shades of grey.
What ends up happening is what we find,
Is its because of this that we betray.

So for mistakes I shall always atone,
And I will never say I stand alone.
