I Stand I Pray
I stand in solitude, I stand and pray,
That righteous men will not allow God’s Word to be cast away.
I stand in solitude, I stand and pray,
That virtuous women will not falter, will not stray.
I raise my hands, I give praise and thanks to my Lord,
I shout hallelujah even when times are extremely hard.
For it is these trials and tribulations that make us strong,
And it is our faith in His word that shows us where we belong.
All else may fail but His word is always true,
And a light to guide both me and you.
Our world has become so wicked, so evil, and a shameful place,
In dire need of our Heavenly Father and His loving grace.
Lord have mercy and forgive those and their wanton ways,
And put forth those with Your word to teach what You have to say.
For there are many who are lost and just need to hear,
Let Your voice be heard and Your intentions made clear.
As I stand in solitude knowing my prayers are heard,
I pray those that are lost seek out Your word.
May your word cover us like snow from an avalanche from a mountain side,
And cling to us forever so that in Your heart we will always reside.
