I Spoke To a Christian

I spoke to a Christian
who told me, that's not in the bible
"you're going to hell"
what ever happened

"To judge not that you be not judged"
Refusing to hear, what I had to say
yet what I had to say
is in the bible

When Jesus was asked
"is it lawful to pays taxes to Caesar or not"

He said "Bring me a Denarius"
he replied Who's face is on your money
they replied Caesars
he stated "give unto Caesar what is Caesars"

"Give unto God what is Gods"
Money given to the Church belongs to God
The parable of the Talents
tells the servants of God

The disciples and the Church
that they where supposed to invest it
to make fives time as much
The parable of the Tenants

Tells the Church
the Earth is Gods Vineyard
he created the earth
we all owe him a tithe

he sent servants to collect
he sent his son to collect
the human race abused the servants
and killed his son

According to the parable of Tenants
"He will come and destroy the tenants
and give the Vineyard to others
If the whole human race, had paid a tithe

if that tithe
had been invested
to make five times as much
Gods Church

would have created
company after company
year after year
Jobs to feed the starving

If we had treated each other
like brothers
we would have created
a world that cares about people

Instead, when the Church had power
they went around killing people
forcing people to obey their rules
the money from thousands of people

donated to the Church
was used by the wealthy
to line their own pockets
look back through history

Martin Luther wrote about abuse
the Orthodox Church split away from
the Catholic Church because
the Church created an Army

What happened to
"Thou Shalt not Kill"
Ministers locked themselves into monasteries
instead of being out in the community

teaching knowledge
monasteries knew about crop rotation
but did not share
that knowledge

with farmers
struggling to survive
We could have used
the knowledge of the bible

to teach with inspiration
instead of domination
Stalin dominated his people
killing anyone he saw as a threat

domination, with the threat of murder
yet all religions have done the same
we should be better than that
we should lead with inspiration and not domination

A hundred people at ten dollars per week
is a thousand dollars per week,
the deposit for a house every year
but but how much difference

would a world religion make
taking a tithe ten percent of every wage
investing that tithe
creating jobs to stop starvation

Very well-written verse on a most interesting concern by many outside of the church today.
