Notes About The Poem

I Sleep In Cold

While sun wakes worn down grass
     And grazes gentle slopes
I sleep

While winter fights with spring
     small dormant roots awake
I sleep

Below I live in lethargy
     crawl in search of air
through cold

I lived in summer's smile
     was fed through tubes
or roots

Grow this sprout once more
     entangle frigid stems
arouse me

Sweet pen, another beautiful composition my friend. I do hope you sleep in cold, I hear there is quite a powerful heat wave cooking Europe. Stay safe dear poet xomo
