I Skipped A Stone
I skipped a stone across a pond
It skipped and skipped and then went down –
I blew a kiss into the air
It seemed as if to go nowhere –
The stone I skipped, the kiss I blew
Both vanished quickly from my view
Yet in my mind I still can see
The ripples that the stone set free
And truth be known the kiss I blew,
I hoped would find its way to you,
And like a wish upon a star
Its aim was true – for here you are –
