I Should Have Stayed In Bed

Tried to stay in Dream Weavers world ,silenced alarm
     Back to dream weavers sow
Hour late for work, I'm a charm
Freeway flat tire, rain and snow

Clothes soaking wet, slipped wrench injured hand
So late for work, speeding ticket mine
Boss shaking head, strike up the band
Injured hand dropped heavy box, foot not fine

Finally home, slipped on ice like sled
I can see stars, 20 IQ points lost
Broke arm too, in hospital rest my head
Dream weavers world I'll stay, except now it will cost !

A common enough feeling; I think we all sometimes wish we had stayed in bed for our own different reasons. Great idea and enjoyed the poem. JH

Thank you, I've had many days when I wished I would have stayed in bed.
