I Should Be There

In my mind I'm a good person, But as I look to my right, I suddenly see your picture, At that time I begin to fight, I fight with myself for being dumb, For letting myself fall and, Being the person I have become, Wondering if I have failed you, As a leader for another, What do I do now, Maybe become a better brither, And pray you will forgive me, When this life comes to it's end, What's going to be your last words, Will your heart still be my friend, Cause I feel like I am falling, And where I'm landing is in Hell, It should be me sitting there, I should be the one forever in jail, I'm so sorry brother, Wish I could see your face, I should be there not you, I should be in your place!

Poignantly done, Justin. I am thinking there are some heart-felt emotions here that may need to be expressed to either a flesh brother or a soul brother. If so, I am sure they will appreciate the gesture and tell you they are glad you have escaped this particular hell.
