I Send These Words

I send these words into the sea
Knowing you will find them
Because your body is also
From the salt
And the turquoise

It holds the light in
An iridescent dance that sings of your sagas
And in the deep below, in the lull of your tongue
Storms are born

You are my heart
The center of the eye
The core that ever seeks the balance
Where time simply cannot live

I send you these words
Because I come from you
And like the water
Your shadow is my shadow
I am both comforted and pursued

I know that you’ll find me
Even in the most anonymous morning.
