I See a Day

I see a day when mankind will say
   Let us our differences downplay
when the wolf will lie down with the lamb --
Hearken to the shofar blast of the horn of the ram

I see a day when every husband and wife unite
to keep the bonds of matrimony pure white
when children feel the love and care they so deserve
when families dwell in peace, no stress on their nerves

I see a day when the earth is back in equilibrium
without carbon overload or environmental destruction
when mankind treats our wonderful world with awe
when he respects Nature and Natural Law...

These visions may perhaps sound like mere dreams
Let's make them come true, on wise plans' streams

Thank you for your support, Matthew, and may the shofar blasts penetrate our hearts and wake us up from our slumber, as Maimonides writes. Best wishes for the New Year, Gershon

Gershon, I hope I live to see this day as well. Peace, harmony with nature and feelings of love for our fellow men can be ours. As you say, we need to act and make these possibilities happen! Excellent writing on a subject I hold dear. Hugs, Carolyn

Gershon, What a world that would be. I can certainly wish for the same. You must have the sight of Angels. -Richard

How we all pray such a day will come, Gershon! Well written! Many thx for your kind words re Abandoned School House. I started school in Indiana where there were 3 classes in one room - kinda tells you my age - ha! Best wishes for a glorious Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur! - Bob

Gershon, I come from a small town named Hagerstown, Indiana and I don't know exactly where Warsaw is located. I was in the middle of my 30 year career in the AF in 1969 and happened to be assigned here in Colorado Springs. Yep, it was one teacher for 3 classes but somehow she (and we kids) muddled thru! Take good care - Bob H

Bob, thank YOU so much for your encouragement and continued insights. … Three classes in one room. Whoa! I worked in Warsaw, Indiana back in the summer of 1969. Were you anywhere near there?... And finally, thank you for your good holiday wishes. Much appreciated. Blessings, Gershon
