Macy Southern Poet Free verse

I See

i see the "perfect" families and "perfect" friends
but what is perfect when lies set the trends?
i see the people who are held back from their dreams
but who is to say they have to follow mainstreams?
i see the kids who have to live on their own
but why won't the reality be shown?

we tend to disregard what goes on behind closed doors
but what are you going to do when the problem uproars?

i want to see the day that we live in trust instead of fear
i want to see the day when everything is sincere
i want to live in a day that we will revere
