I Say Leave the Worldly Things To Parish

We are but a mere blinking of an eye of eternity Our souls here only seconds in the abyss of time Than like that we are over, done, complete Pehaps it's not the quantity of life we should we worry with But the quality instead Did we use our time wisely to instill great traits to pass on for future generations? Or did we squander it away in self loaving and worldy things? Did we touch even one life on our journey To show that we can be happy even in times of sorrow If only we look for the good in the sorrow Bring forth the good that was learned from the hurt By being sure not to let the bad in it sour our hearts Or did we use our time for selfish behavior To get ahead in life, to brag, to act as superior to the one's we know as family, friends, acquaintances? If that is so than we will even though be rich in the world Be poor in the heart and soul, for without compassion love, and sharing we are the poorest and saddest of all I choose to be poor of the world and rich of the soul Because it's the inside you take when your time is up With these you will never parish as the worldly things
