I Saw Something In Your Eye

I saw something in your eye That is not there anymore What did they do to you, My child? What is that sad look for? You were so full of hope and light Is that strength now gone? Let Me give you life again, Or they'll have already won. Bring back your joyful smile Lift up your weary head You are special to Me, No matter what they said. Their words are meaningless, Their lies will never be true, They look only at the outside, But I am looking inside, child, and I see the real you.
