Line of inquiry:

Yes, I affirm, I have seen God

But He appeared and then disappeared

This knowing that transcends mind, left me awed

But until what’s imbibed is assimilated, by fears I’m seared

. Darkness there was no light
. Dreaded omens were my plight
. Systemic frailties burdened me
. Overwhelming sadness to misery
. Whisper winding to westward wind
. All unkind thoughts must rescind
. Silent shivers cascaded poetically
. Tears fell so very sympathetically
. Silences the rustle of the leaves
. The call of the lyre bird deceives
. Sideways coming never straight
. No clear thought to contemplate
Tragic melancholy thought begins. Amidst fog a vortex violently spins
Damned to bow, head way down. Beseeching I could only frown
Knowing I could no longer cope -Like a lightning bolt now it was hope
An aura appeared round His head. For me to know nothing to dread
A beguiling image with gentle love. Before me a spectacle from above
Not an angel with spiritual wings. Before me stood the King of Kings
. He softly placed His hand on mine
. I felt his solemn power, so divine
. My sorrows beginning to mend
. Whimsical thoughts stirring me
. Strange images seeking to be free
. Impressions that linger carry on
. Now no comprehension. He is gone
. His amazing image so pure and light
. Vanished from my peripheral sight
. To amass faith in what I have seen
. He came to me, could it have been?
. Assimilating a Holy sight so sublime
. To imbibe my vision will take time.
. He said no word. He did not speak
. Filled with fear, I feel quite weak.
. Glorious splendor enters my life
. The end of sadness and all strife.
. Rejuvenated and now I feel whole
. His love has captured my very soul.
. His image in my mind I will keep
. Feeling exalted I fall deeply asleep
. Gold banks along a river in my dream
. Liquid platinum pours down a stream
. Mighty mountains pierce the clouds
. Angels appear with stardust shrouds
. I am reborn my sins forgiven. New life
. Wonderous knowledge to me now rife
. I believe his life for me was sacrificed
. He came to me Lord the Holy Christ
