Yeah I feel you Edward, when it happened I came home from work and watched the tv all day in disbelief, and I said to my wife, mark my words "after today the world will never be the same" true words, I wasn't around for Pearl harbor but I remember people still talking about it in the sixties, 9-11 was our Pearl Harbor.

9/11 is definitely our Pearl Harbor, John. I bet those who lived through the Pearl Harbor bombings and are still alive today can still recall exactly where they were!

Interesting recollection there... I'll never forget where I was when John Kennedy was shot... And I'll never forget the sadness in my gut when MLK and RFK were gunned down five years later. After that, mostly desensitized --- except for the rescue at Entebbe (July 4, 1976) led by Yoni Netanyahu, (the brave brother) and heinous acts in Israel that didn't get much press here. ~ Callous Calvin

You lived through really sad times in our country's history, Gershon! MLK assassination...whew, I can't even imagine how devastating! The Entebbe incident--had no idea it happen on Independence Day-- took place 3 months before I was born. Quite a trip down memory lane!
