in the memory of a day and moment of lost love.
I didn’t know it would be our last visit,
I didn’t know it would be that goodbye.
I remember that day—
That day he came to claim
What was his by name,
And he wanted you to shar the same.
He asked me to let you go.
I told him no! I still loved you!
But I wouldn’t stand in the way
If you left with him that day.
I should have said something to make you stay,
I should have found the words to send him away.
I should have never let you go,
I should have told you—I still loved you.
I asked him if he loved you,
As much as I loved you.
He swore he’d never hurt you,
And I believed his words were true.
But as my emotions grew,
I realized—
He came to claim you too.
I stood silent as you got in his car.
Where we were close, now we feel so far.
I watched your silhouette fade away—
I called your name, Come back to me, please stay!
Hoping you’d hear,
Wishing you’d glance back my way.
Once more, louder—I love you!
But your silhouette never looked back.
My life would never be the same.
As the car disappeared down the lane,
I whispered your name…
I remember that day—
That day he came.
And I am to blame
For losing you that day.
What was mine, I should have claimed.
I should have told you to remain—
That I loved you.
I remember that day.
I remember that day.
I remember…
He came.
