manual to parenthood
I too regret
mistakes and anxious concerns
as you grew,I too,slow to learn
I regret
there is no guidebook for love

not speaking, aloud my love

wanting, too much for you
I too regret
seeking ,what you could not see
...I regret
trying ,to make you too much like me

It is so honest, we cannot be perfect parents, no matter how strong our love, and I suppose we will always have some regrets and make mistakes. Hopefully, doing the best we can, with what we knew at the time, will be enough. And hopefully, it's never too late to express that love.
