I Red It Somewhere

I dream about it all the time 
But when I’m awake  
I need to be reminded 
To become more aware
That I am not alone 
I can’t possibly be the only one 
Whose becoming enlightened 
I’ve been sucker punched 
Blind sided 
Stomped on 
Manipulated 
Rounded up 
Hornswoggled 
Cheated 
But the worse is to be ignored 
Forgotten with no redemption
 
Was it carved in stone 
Or written in blood on a fallen leaf 
That blew away in the wind
