Listen to poem:

I Really Do Wish You The Very Best

I really do wish you the very best
You were really so much better than the rest

No, we didn’t know, no point in regrets
Life doesn’t come with its own presets

I will always love you; this is all my own fault
Me, selfishly trapping you within my own heart

I really do wish you the very best
You were really so much better than the rest

You were just trying to protect me by pushing me away
I’m not going to let myself forget that, go out and play

I am so more grown up than you may want to think
I will go bury my heart below once the sun does sink

I really do wish you the very best
You were really so much better than the rest

Come back tomorrow just wishing you the very best
Knowing you were just so much better than the rest

We will both rise from the heartbreak, and learn to live again
Where over the oceans my love for you I will still send

I really do wish you the very best
You were really so much better than the rest

Quite a sad verse Indiana, sometimes it's for the best but it brings heartache. Tom
