I Rather Hurt

I am Icarus and you are the sun
I keep flying closer and closer
not thinking of what will come
A moth to a flame
I burst into ash
I savor the bitter-sweet taste
because I know it won't last
You're like cutting
'cause I rather hurt than feel nothing
You're my poison,
it tastes so sweet, but its all consuming
You're my Meth
a 10 second high, with a life time of hurting
Like a wave you pull me under I don't fight it
I just hold my breath hoping it'll last
'Till my lungs burst and I welcome death
