I Play My Part, Well

 
in my job as nurse, I play the part of actor
a contradiction
of my own beliefs and feelings, a sham
I must put on a false face of happy
deceive my patients

my words hollow, when I say they will be okay
when they are dying
I speak a fraud, I feel a hypocrite
it is so sad
that rules dictate that I tell lies

but this is my job
