I Planted My Dad

i planted my dad
it was a fad
his ashes under the sod
bottled into an organic burial pod
his soul came out of the free
to see himself turn into a tree!

I had to smile when I read the title of your poem. In Zulu culture (when a king dies, as King Zelithini recently did), he is 'planted' and not 'buried' as it is believed that he is not dead and a new king would arise to lead the Zulu nation.
