I Once Knew a Goddess

Written By: D. Collins 5/23/20
I once knew a Goddess, who gave me super human strength.
I've not had that kind of power in me ever since.
If I could reclaim that, which made me so strong.
I would seek repentance for all that I've done wrong.
I once knew a Goddess. who was beautiful, black, and pure.
The answer to all illness, even the broken hearted cure.
A fix for imperfections, and all my major flaws.
The Goddess I once knew, is what I'm telling ya'll.
I once knew a Goddess, who was so clean and pristine.
Not a blemish on her body, that had a problem with me.
She was Ill-Na-Na, plus ten times that.
I once knew a Goddess, unbelievably P-H-A-T.
I once knew a Goddess for over seventeen years.
One who gave me the power, to strike down all my fears.
Ever since then, I have not been the same man.
And, to have that again, I will do everything I can.
I once knew a Goddess who dawned a golden crown.
Reached out and picked people up, when they had fallen down.
That was the best thing I had ever experienced.
She made me a man, and gave me true deliverance.
Not many people can say, that I am so fortunate.
However, it was so enlightening that I will never forget.
I once knew a Goddess, that never brought dismay.
She gave me courage to stand tall, even to this day.
