I Never Did
I Never Did
I never sat upon the sands
Under which burnt my hands
I never sat upon the rocks
Where were buried my old socks
I never sat up on the hill
Where you once played Jack and Jill
I never sat in your chair
Because you nor I were never there
I never sat in the sea
Because it was just not me
I never sat on the moon
Why would I what would I do
But I sat upon you lap
Although I don’t remember that
I do though think that you once knew
That I did love you
