I Need To Dream
As each day surrenders
fading into the darkness of twilight
its then I rest my head
sinking deep
into the wasteland of night
for its here in the void
i wait for a voice or perhaps a vision
to show me the path leading to the light
knowing i made the right decision
Does having faith
let you believe in a place wonderful and unseen
where golden rainbows fill the skies
and angels are heard
but seldom seen
a place where animals smile
greeting you with eyes that glisten
and with an open mind they will talk to you
but you need faith to listen
For the words they speak
is your destiny to follow
the road will be tough
and at times hard to swallow
but just remember
as you lay so still
unaware
that something surreal
has awakened your night
because those words the animals spoke of..
came from the light!
