I Missed You

I thought I’d never see you again.
I thought I’d never get my second chance.
I thought you’d be forever mad at me,
For everything
                   I didn’t say.
I was afraid I’d go through life
Never to hear your voice again.

Then your call came.
I didn’t know what to say.
To afraid to say a thing.

Then I saw your face.
I couldn’t believe you were standing in front of me.
After all this time.
I couldn’t believe you still loved me.

Now, I cry
              With joy
From knowing you’ll always be there,
With arms wide open,
                When I’m sad or mad.
Or just need a hand.

I’m here to say again.
My sister, my friend,
My guide till the end.

I missed you.
